Role and Functionality of Department

“To lift the Scheduled Caste People Socially, Educationally and Economically on par with other Developed Communities and to achieve a Just and Egalitarian Society”. Ambedkar Study Circle is providing free coaching to SC Students to appear Competitive Examinations like UPSC, APPSC, SSC, RRB, Bank, DSC, etc.

Schemes/Activities/Action Plan
1.  Administration of Pre – Matric Hostels
Admissions in the Hostels are given to Poor SC Students who are having White Ration Card and whose annual income is below 45,000/- providing all facilities such as food, cosmetics, accommodation, Note Books, Bedding material, uniform, night wear, slippers, sports material, etc., for free of cost.
2. Administration of Post – Matric Hostels
Admissions in the Hostels are given to Poor SC Students who are having White Ration Card and whose annual income is below 45,000/-providing all facilities such as food, cosmetics, accommodation, Bedding material, slippers, sports material, night wear etc., for free of cost.
3. Post Matric Scholarships
  1. All SC Students with White Ration Card and who are having White Ration card or whose annual income is below Rs.2,00,000/- are eligible for applying of Scholarships from Intermediate and above courses.
  2. All the SC students who applies for Scholarships will be given fee Reimbursement, Mess fee, exam Fee, etc.,
4. Pre Matric Scholarships
  1. All SC Students of classes from V to VIII having White Ration Card and whose annual parental income is below Rs.2, 00,000/- are eligible for applying of Scholarships.
  2. All SC Students of classes from IX to X having White Ration Card and whose annual parental income is below Rs.2, 00,000/- are eligible for applying of Scholarships.
  3. This scheme is for providing financial assistance to all SC /ST/Disabled students pursuing studies in schools run by the Government, local bodies suchas Mandal, Zilla Parishad and Municipalities or schools aided by the Government.
5. Best Available Schools.
  1. SC Students of 1st Class and 5th Class who are having white ration card and whose annual parental income is below 70,000 are eligible for this scheme.
  2. 1st Class (Non-Residential) 200 seats & 5th Class (Residential) 350 students will be given admissions to private schools in the district.
  3. For 1st class each student fee will be paid, uniforms, books, tie, belt, shoes will be given.
  4. For 5th class each student fee will be paid, uniforms, books, tie, belt, shoes and accommodation in school hostel will be given.
6. Ambedkar Over Seas Vidhyanidhi
This scheme is to provide financial assistance upto 10 Lakhs to 15 Lakhs as grant to SC, ST, BC, EBC (Other than Kapu), Minority, Brahmin, Kapu students to persue their higher education in foreign countries.The family income of applicant from all sources shall not exceed Rs.06.00 Lakhs per annum.
7.ADMISSION INTO CORPORATE COLLEGES
This scheme is to provide Admission for meritorious poor students belonging to SC / ST / BC / EBC / MW / DW into reputed Private Junior Colleges,introduced by the Government from the year 2011-12.
The District Selection Committee has selected the following junior colleges to implement the scheme for the year 2019-2020.
1)  Sri Chaitanya Boys Junior College, Gollapudi
2) Sri Chaitanya Mahila Junior Kalasala, Siddiq Nagar, Poranki
3) Sri Gayathri Junior College, Kanuru.
4) Sri Gayathri Junior College, Krishnanagar, Kanuru.
5) NRI Junior College, Ibrahimpatnam.
The Government have allotted (238) seats providing admissions to poor students on merit basis to Krishna District under the scheme for the year 2019-2020.
8.NTR Vidyonnathi Scheme
This Scheme is to provide financial assistance to the SC ST BC EBC (Other than Kapu), Minority, Brahmin and Kapu Students to meet the coaching fee and expenses for All India Civil Services and State Group Services.
9.Financial Assistance to SC LAW Graduates
This Scheme is to provide financial assistance to SC graduates imparting training in administration of justice.

  1. The rate of stipend is Rs.1000/- per month uniformly for all (03)years. The amount towards purchase of books and furniture as one time grant in 1st year Rs. 6000/-.
  2. Qualification: He / She must be Law graduate (BL / LLB) must enroll in Bar council and belongs to Scheduled Caste.
  3. Annual Income:

    Income limit for eligibility for admission of candidates for Undergoing training in administration of justice be enhanced as in the case of Government of India’s pattern in respect of Post – Matric Scholarships for students in Professional and Post Graduate Courses i.e., Rs.2.00 Lakhs per annum.

  4. Allotted 8 seats per annum.
10. Jagjeevan Jyothi (Free Power 0 to 100 Units)
The Government has extended the benefit of free power up to 100 units to SC consumers under Jagjeevan Jyothi scheme. SC households consuming 125 units per month would be supplied free power.
The scheme was earlier applicable up to 75 units and now, it has been extended to 100 units to benefit more than 1.42 lakh SC consumers, providing over 16.00 crore subsidy per annum,  which will be reimbursed by the Social welfare departments immediately.
11. Skill Upgradation Scheme
This Scheme is to provide financial assistance to the SC Students for coaching in TOEFL / IELTS / GRE and GMAT and other for admission in foreign Universities.
SC Graduates or final year students at Graduation Level whose family income is less than Rs. 2.00 Lakhs per annum are eligible under the scheme.
12. Integrated Scheme of Book Bank Scheme
Integrated scheme of Book Banks is provided for supply of essential text books to SC students studying following professional courses.
1)Medical, 2) Dental, 3) Ayurvedic, 4) Homeopathy, 5) Veterinary Science,
6) Agriculture, 7) Pharmacy, 8) Engineering, 9) Polytechnic, 10) B.Ed, 11) M.B.A 12) Fine arts.
