Sainik Welfare

Role & Functionality of Dept.:

The Department of Sainik Welfare works under the  Administrative control of Home Department under State Government and Ministry of Defence under Central Government.  The main aim of the department is to look after the welfare of the Armed Forces Personnel, their families, dependents and the families of serving soldiers.

SCHEMES/ACTIVITIES/ACTION PLAN

The wards of the Armed Forces Personnel are eligible for Education grant from RMEWF (class 1 to 12 and regular Degree Courses BA/BCOM/BSC) and Prime Minister’s Scholarship Scheme (for professional degree courses /PG Courses i.e. MCA/MBA).The ex-servicemen, widows and their dependents are elgible for various grants like Penury Grant, Funeral Grant, Marriage Grant, Orphan Grant, House Repair Grant, Medical Grant etc.,.For all the above grants applications should be submitted through online through the above mentioned websites.
